Some tips for clearing CISA exam from my side which I used and cleared CISA at one go
1) CRM TO BE READ ONCE (It is very dry)
2) Solve all the questions from the ISACA book for all the domains
3)I had purchased Hemang Doshi book on CISA (Very helpful – it is based on CRM and is exam oriented)
4) Read Hemang Doshi book twice
5) time management helped me to complete 4hrs exams in 3 hrs
6) Keep solving mock test until u get all answers right. It will help u to identify your weak domain
7) read all the explanation of answers, it helps u to understand concept.
8) none of the questions came directly as is from the question bank or the papers that we solved – all new questions – hence concepts has to be clear
Few pointers. Study entire CRM. Start early. Solve the entire question bank. I read crm twice. Few chapters more than that. Solved close to 900 of the 1000 questions in the question bank. Hemang doshis YouTube videos/ and his book are very useful. Practice is the key.
Carry a chocolate or any other firm of sugar. I had a small cadbury in a quick mid exam break. Went to d loo. Washed my face. It refreshed me. 4 exam hours are tough.
Regarding the centre
- I booked a weekend slot (Saturday) to avoid appearing exam with many ppl
- I booked the slot which was also close to my house, reachability was easy and the place was peaceful
assess the location and traffic conditions. Traffic situations are different on weekends and weekdays, make sure you are going on right day.
